Troisdorf is proud to select Ryan Strome and while it is unsure whether he is really ready for the big show, the Phoenix could not care less at this point.


Strome's fantasy agent was reached for a comment:
"Apparently, the LBL commissioner has lost his internet connection. We are very surprised by the early selection, but Ryan is glad that he has now at least three-and-a-half months to prepare for his first appearance in the LBL."

"Ryan is a great selection as he will have a clear edge being eligible to play in AHL or CHL in the next year. Additionally, he will present the Phoenix' colors in the WJC in December and January, so we have at least one player whose stats we can monitor closely."
