Tja, leider kann man auch nach 2 weiteren Wochen immer noch nicht zweifelsfrei sagen, ob Carter so ein 10 Jahresvertrag-Franchise Player sein sollte (zumindest nach meiner subjektiven Meinung). Er scheint dieses Jahr noch so ein bisschen seine Rolle im Team zu suchen, eh? Hoffen wir mal, dass er sie bald findet- seine Skills sind unbestritten. Er und Giroux sind prinzipiell eigentlich ein ziemlich geiles Duo. Wenn nun noch JVR seine Form (oder erstmal sein Roster Spot) findet wäre das zumindest auf dem Papier eine sehr gute Kombination.
Leino ist nahezu "money in the bank"- solange die Kohle nicht zu viel wird. Selbst 2 oder 2,5 Mio sind da m.E. noch ok. Was der am Puck abliefert ist einfach stark. Es sieht zwar nie sonderlich filigran oder technisch hochbegabt aus aber er ist von dem Ding einfach nicht zu trennen. Und dann kommen so Spin-o-rama Pässe wie vs Carolina, Tore vor der Kiste oder was weiss ich raus- Seine Aktionen haben einfach immer (irgendiwe) Hand und Fuss.
Momentan gefällt mir die Personal-Politik der Flyers ausgesprochen gut. Auch die Verstärkungen in der Defense sind 1a. Lediglich die 1,1 Mio für Shelley passen mir immernoch nicht.
Auch wenn's von Eklund kommt, aber der Artikel bzw. die Gerüchte über Alex Semin sind recht interessant. Semin ist nach der Saison UFA, und mit Ovechkin, Backstrom und Green haben die Caps schon ein ordentliches Stück Cap weggeballert. Heißt, entweder halten sie Semin zu für ihn wahnsinns-, oder für sie grauenhaften Bedingungen (mit Blick auf die Zukunft), oder er wird getradet.
Das wird ne spannende Kiste, da Semin seinen Wert aktuell ja nicht gerade nach unten drückt.

Im übrigen hier noch ne Anmerkung dazu: Carter kostet in Zukunft grade mal 0,27Mio mehr pro Jahr, als er das in den bisherigen 3 Jahren getan hat...
Und hier noch eine klitzekleine Anmerkung von mir: Selbst wenn der Cap nächstes Jahr um 1 Million $ ansteigt, haben die Flyers nur noch 3 Millionen frei für Verlängerungen/Ersatz von Leino, Carcillo, Zherdev + einen weiteren Stürmer
Carcillo kannst Du durch einen hirnbefreiten Kirmesboxer für das Minimum ersetzen, Zherdev durch eine Ballerina für den selben Preis. Lediglich der Ersatz für Leino wird teurer...
