Free agent defenceman Marc-Andre Gragnani is on his way to Carolina, as the 25-year-old unrestricted free agent agreed to a one-year, two-way contract with the Hurricanes on Wednesday. The deal will pay Gragnani $800,000 at the NHL level, and $105,000 if he plays in the American Hockey League.
The Anaheim Ducks have re-signed free agent forward Teemu Selanne to a one-year, $4.5 million contract. The Finnish forward scored 26 goals and added 40 assists in 82 games with the Anaheim Ducks in 2011-12.
